The emulsion: Worries and Christianity

Why should we worry if we know that God is on our side? Why should we fear and consider failure when we know that we serve a God who can? Why should we worry when we know that through Christ we already have the victory? Before I understood the importance of reading the Bible, there were so many things that I would worry about. I always had a plan b, just in case anything happened. But then I learnt that if I confess the desires of my heart, God will provide. It may not be as soon as I say amen but he surely will provide. Philippians 4:6 has been my go to scripture. It has helped me with many of the struggles that I have faced. I believed that I suffered from anxiety and once you put something in your mind, it has a habit of manifesting into reality. I was adamant that I suffered from anxiety. That would explain so much. But you cannot believe that Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead and be anxious. You cannot believe in the Good News and be worried. The only fear that you should have is the fear of God. Philippians 4:6 reminds us that we should not be anxious about anything because we should put all of our worries before God in prayer and petition and he will sort it out. Once we know that God will and have faith that he has, what is there to worry about? I pray that as daughters of God that we will not be anxious about anything and that we will learn to trust in God because he will make a way. In Jesus name,

Amen
