You pray but do you listen?

When it comes to praying, some of us find it easy and some of us find it hard. There are those who are able to pray for a long amount of time and some of us cannot. When we pray, we are talking to God. Giving God praise for the things that he has provided for us and asking him to help us in certain areas in our lives. We often pray for others as well as ourselves. We are free to pray, unlike some other religions where you have to pray in a certain way and at a certain time, we are able to pray to God and communicate with him as though he were our friend. However, when we talk to our friends are there ever one sided conversations? Do you ever just vent to your friend or compliment your friend and then just walk away not wanting to hear what they have to say back? I pray that as daughters of God that we will listen to what God has to say to us about our lives so that we can develop and become more like him. I pray that we will be able to be still after we pray so that we will be able to hear God speaking to us. I pray that for those of us who feel as though God has gone silent on their lives will be able to be still and find God’s voice, because he will never forsake us. In Jesus name,

Amen
