They wonder…

This poem was inspired by Praise Him in Advance by Marvin Sapp in it he sings:

I’ve had my share of ups and downs, times when there was no one around,
God came and spoke these words to me, praise will confuse the enemy.

I started singing, I started clapping, I started dancing, people were laughing,
they knew my problems, they knew my pain, but I knew God would take them away.

They wonder why I’m smiling,
They wonder why I’m out,
They have their eyes on my problems,
But I have my eyes on my God,
They wonder how I move,
Or even keep my head up high,
They have their eyes on my problems,
But I have my eyes on my God.

They wonder why I’m not drowning,
They’re wondering how I manage to stay afloat,
They can’t fathom how I’m still standing,
Because all they can see is problems,
But all I can see is my God.
So I’ll keep on going,
It’s not over yet,
If I move one step at a time,
Eventually I’ll make it,
If I keep my eyes on God I won’t have to worry… because my problems will look very small.
